Research
An overview of my past and current research programs organized into four main areas:

Affect Dynamics
How we shift between positive and negative emotional states is closely linked to our psychological well-being. Understanding what drives these transitions can help develop tailored therapeutic interventions to improve mental health.

Heartbeat-Evoked Potential
The heartbeat-evoked potential (HEP) is a neural signal that reflects the brain’s processing of cardiac signals. We investigate its psychophysiological origins and its relation to physical exercise and interoception.

Exercise, Brain & Cognition
Does physical exercise improve cognition? We measure neurophysiological signals during physical exercise to investigate exercise-brain links.

Scholarly Communication
Academic knowledge creation and communication has been hijacked by large commercial publishers. We develop models and tools for scholar-governed publishing using existing public infrastructure.
